Atkins Chicken Recipes
It's just after work on Thursday, and already it seems like you're behind. You only have 30 minutes to leave work, swing by your house to pick up your son for karate, stop at basketball practice to get your daughter, and what are you supposed to do about dinner, Sound like your life, I'm sure it does if you're like many working moms out there. When you only have 15 minutes to prepare your meals, how are you supposed to make healthy food choices, For one thing, it doesn't have to take two hours to cook a nutritious meal for your family. Oftentimes, it takes just as much time to pick up or prepare healthy food options as it does for the not-so-healthy ones. For quite some time, major cities have offered restaurant guides as part of their phone books, including full menus describing the foods that restaurant offers. Now that being health conscious has become a factor in our dining choices, many restaurants now offer healthy alternatives in addition to their old classics. Fast food staples like Hardee's and McDonald's now have a slew of Atkins friendly options for their customers looking to cut their carbs.

For example, you can be served just the patty and veggies, leaving out the bun. Yogurts, fruits, and fresh salads have also cropped up where once there were few to none. Furthermore, some restaurants have taken to offering salads as a full meal, or as a side dish, rather than the usual fries or chips. More and more combinations of veggies with ham, bacon, roast beef, or chicken are appearing as healthy menu items. Summertime is becoming an especially good season for salads, as they remain filling while feeling light on our digestive systems. Restaurants that appeal to the local flavor have taken to serving foods in season grown by local farmers. It may be surprising, but oftentimes fresh-grown and healthy choices are more affordable than you'd think and more delicious than you can imagine. Smarter restaurants also invent new recipes using the healthier foods, offering old and new customers a delicious new spin on good, old-fashioned nutrition. If you're not in the mood for ordering out, you can still use healthy choices in planning your family's meal.

By doing this, you increase your options for healthy choices, as groceries are stocked fuller than ever with more nutritious alternatives than you could imagine. Due to advances in the preservation and transportation of various foods, your options for fresh fruits and vegetables are much more varied than they were a few years ago. Various cuisines can now be prepared in the comfort of your home using ingredients just as fresh as if they were grown locally, without the need to be frozen. Not that there's anything wrong with healthy frozen foods. Unhealthy TV dinners are seemingly a thing of the past what with the available variety of healthy and filling frozen entrees for the whole family. And it is all about our own families, as the healthy examples we're setting make such a difference in our children's lives. Nowadays, claiming to not have enough time, availability, or choices to have a healthy meal is no longer viable. Remember the juggling act we were trying to keep up on that Thursday afternoon, Your son's starting his karate, and you've picked up your daughter from basketball, and you have the same 15 minutes to decide on what to make for dinner. When you're sitting at the crossroads of the grocery store, a healthy deli, or a greasy fast food joint, with your children's and your own health in mind, I think you can now certainly make the right choice.

Why with so much fibre, Thanks for your comment. Congratulations on your weight loss even though you had to suffer a few dizzy spells to get there! But I think you summed it up perfectly 'you have to find that medium that you can continue with in order to keep the weight off.' It's all about balancing and finding that range that suits your needs. I got my book in 5 days. I lost15 pounds in 3 weeks. I did follow it to the letter for 10 days until my blood pressure dropped to a dangerous level. I have a physical job and work out so felt very week and felt I needed some carbs for energy. I lost the first 10 lbs. 11 days and then added the carbs from the future cycles and only ate them for breakfast and lunch and am still losing weight. I continue with lemon and water, greentea, probiotics, mostly chicken and fish,3 fruits per day and I continue to loose the weight. The no carbs for the first cycle made me week and dizzy. I now feel great lighter and more energy.

So I will continue, but with my modifications. You have to find that medium that you can continue with in order to keep the weight off. If its too unrealistic you wont stay on it. I recommend it for anyone jumpstarting weight loss where you need structure to get going. Just stick it out for as close to 17 days as you can. You will lose weight fast but have to work out too. The hardest days are the first 5 and then you just get in a pattern. It is not recommended that you drink diet sodas on the 17 day diet. Water, lemon in hot water, green tea and coffee are the accepted beverages. I'm sure 3 servings ot probiotics will not affect your diet too much, especially as you are on antibiotic medicine. Good going with your weight loss. I look forward to your next instalment. Well today is day 9 and down 7 lbs feeling great and sleeping well.
